Airsoft description

So some people who are not familiar with airsoft might be asking what is airsoft. So to awnser that question we have made this post to explain airsoft, and the differences between airsoft and paintball.

First of we will start by saying that airsoft is a shooting sport like paint ball. Unlike paintball, airsoft does not shoot paint balls, but instead use little plastic spherical called bb's. Airsoft is also known as milsim (military simulation).

Airsoft and paintball are both every great and very fun sports. Both have their pro's and con's so it is deffenetly personal preference when it comes to picking which is better. For me I prefer airsoft because it's clean. By clean I mean not having to go home after every game and clean the paint off ur guns and gear. Although the paint is great for knowing if you hit someone and that can be one downfall of airsoft because in airsoft you basically rely on what we call "The Honor System". This means calling it out when you have been shot. Most clubs/fields require that you hold your gun over your head while walking back to the safe zone. This is to pretty much show the other team that you have been shot and that your out. This can be a downfall for players who are not as honest as the rest of us. That is why it is very important to know the people your playing with.

Another great reason that I prefer airsoft over paintball is for the simple fact that it doesn't leave as bad welts. Usually none at all. You will always feel or hear the bb's when they hit you. This can be better in comparison to paintball for the simple fact that it's not leaving huge welts.

What also really comes into play is the realism of airsoft vs paintball. Airsoft doesn't leave paint when you hit some one which is a big thing when looking at the realism of the sport. When looking at each sport in a realistic view you are gonna wanna pick the sport that is more closest to real life. This means your gonna want the guns that have realistic parts and values to it like weight and how accurate it is to a real life combat weapon. For this airsoft deffenetly takes lead, because you are going to find more realism in the equipment. Although there are a lot of paintball Guns that resemble guns for some reason it's just not to close. Once again though I do say this as my own opinion. I know that there are probably a lot of people out their that will disagree with me and that is fine. Each to their own right?.

Anyhow, this is just a few reasons why I, along with my team think that airsoft is just that much more better then paintball. Although we still like paintball as well. This has been C.J.
